About Andy Roughton

In 2014, I found myself in the village of Auvers sur Oise, the final resting place of Vincent Van Gogh. As I wondered around the village, I began to be inspired by his love of this small village. Everywhere I turned I saw one of his paintings.  I had always wanted to learn how to paint, so I decided to follow my feelings of finally trying to paint. I found an atelier (studio) in the next town of Pontiose where I met a group of artists and formed a close relationship and spent the next year painting and exhibiting with my new found artist friends. And in the end,  I became an artist!
