Some of these paintings were inspired by other artists and some were painted while driving through the country. Villages such as L'isle Adam, Themericourt, Clery-en-Vexin, Santeul, Vallangoujard, Herouville, and Merie were painted.  Some seasons the field would be covered with yellow flowers, others the farms would be arrayed with lattest crops. What an ever changing landscape!
